My name is Thalia Powell and I am graphic design student and fine artist. Through my interdisciplinary works, I continue to learn new mediums and practices that serve as an ongoing reflection of my personal aesthetic style and perception of the world around me. My fine art studies focus on traditional methods and principles through painting and ceramics, which strengthens my graphic design practice and provides a tactile approach within digital creations.
I am currently attaining a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, my experiences studying abroad in Copenhagen and Florence have expanded my technical abilities, but more importantly my frame of reference to art and design overall; I have exposure to different European design styles and modes of creativity. Presently, my body of work is a range of various graphic design projects both commissioned and for my degree, as well as various personal projects in ceramics and painting.
